I thought things would tone down after the holidays, but gladly I was wrong and I’ve been keeping quite busy. Thanks to everyone who has placed an order, bought merch from my store, and/or promoted me on social media. I couldn’t do it without you! The following is your update for February 2017.

New Artwork

As I mentioned, January was almost as busy as the holidays, so I don’t have any new art for sale. I have lots of client work that I’m not at liberty to share (due to NDAs), but I’ve been posting the client work I can share on my social media. I’ve posted one example, below. (It’s a family caricature for a birthday card.) Make sure you’re following me on Facebook and Instagram to catch all the new illustrations. (I’m also on ArtStation and deviantART, if you’re into that.)

Wanna Get a Celeb Caricature Per Day?

As mentioned in last month’s update, I’ve started a Patreon campaign and have been posting one celebrity caricature per day, on their birthday. (See the image below.) The idea was to drive traffic to my site and to try to make some extra money by having patrons pledge $1 per month. So far, I hate to admit, the campaign has been a disappointment. I’ve gotten two patrons total, and one has since dropped out. The main feedback I’ve gotten is to post color pictures, so potential patrons can see what they’re getting. (For $1, you get all of that month’s caricatures in high resolution format plus sketches.)

I’m going to give it another month, and see if I can’t scrape up some more pledges. If so, great. If not, it’s back to the drawing board as I can’t keep up the pace if I’m not making any money. Do you have any suggestions? What rewards would entice you to make a pledge? Visit my Patreon page here to check out what I’m currently offering. Your feedback is VERY valuable, so please leave a comment or send me a message. Would you be interested in a book collecting the caricatures plus sketches and info? What would you spend on that? Feedback is greatly appreciated, please help!
