BinaryGod website July 2014 update
Thanks for visiting my online blog! Here’s your July 2014 update, in which I’ll cover what’s been going on in June.
Digital Tyrants, SteveRampton.comThis is my first monthly update from the new blog address, www.digitaltyrants.com. As I mentioned in my June post, I decided to split my art/writing sites into three websites: Digital Tyrants is my blog, Steve Rampton (dot com) is my art and design portfolio, and BinaryGod will become my online store. (For now, DigitalTyrants and SteveRampton.com are done, but I am currently building BinaryGod.) The reason I did this was to free up some memory and bandwidth, and it seems to be working. Please make sure you update your bookmarks! I’m also accepting guest bloggers for this site, so if you are interested in writing (about whatever you want), please contact me. (This link will take you to the steverampton.com contact page.)
Upcoming Gallery Appearance in LA
My art is going to be featured in a gallery show at Kingswell in Los Angeles. Angelenos, come support! The show starts July 26th. For info on the venue and the show, click here.
New Threadless Design
It’s been awhile since I’ve submitted anything to Threadless.com, but a weird idea hit me over the weekend that I thought might be a fun Threadless shirt. The design is based on the old Mad Magazine Spy vs. Spy comics. Instead of spies, my drawing features two musicians named Jack. Who is your favorite? Are you the third man? Or are you more into the D? Let me know if the comments. Click here or the image to be taken to my entry. It’s up for voting until July 6th, so please rate it a 5, leave me a comment, and tell your friends! UPDATE: The contest is over. Buy it here.
New Stuff in My Store(s)
I have a couple new prints available in my Society6 store. The first is a text design taken from the apocalypse comedy This Is The End. (Buy the movie by clicking my Amazon ad.) The other is an alternate version of a Demon Hunter poster that I created for a band contest. This one is not Demon Hunter specific; its title is St. Michael approaches.
I also have a couple new shirts available in my TeePublic store. They’re not really new designs, but they haven’t been available through TeePublic until now.
Top seller for June 2014
I have yet another tie for sales in June. The first is a tee shirt featuring the technicians from The Cabin in the Woods rendered in a comic book style. The shirt is on sale at TeePublic. The Animal mug is available at Society6, and this is the work that will be featured in the gallery show at the end of this month. Get yours today by clicking the images below. Please share and comment; I’d love to know what you think!
Top blog post for June 2014
My top blog post for June was my Old Music Tuesday: Danzig post. I guess I’ve got a few readers who are into horror punk or macabre blues rock. I’m going to try to keep my Old Music Tuesdays feature going, people seem to like it. You can support it by purchasing a CD through my Amazon links or buying something from any one of my stores.
Got a suggestion?
Please drop me a line if you’d like to make requests on what I should write about, to request a rate quote for a job, or just to say hello. I’ve still got a couple of long, philosophical blog posts in the queue already, but I’m always open to suggestions. Thanks for reading! -Steve
