BinaryGod website October 2014 update
Happy Autumn! I hope it’s started well for you. This is your BinaryGod October 2014 update. I’ve got a few updates, so I’m going to dive right in.
BinaryGod Store is Online
On Saturday, September 20th, I had a booth at Black Book Sessions in downtown Los Angeles. (Thanks to my friend Nicole for securing a booth for me.) The purpose was to expose kids to art and music as well as to give artists a venue to promote themselves. (Check out the video here.) I made several good contacts, and had quite a few people stop by my booth. I also had some prints available for sale. Unfortunately, I didn’t sell many at the event. Fortunately, this means they are now available in my newly updated online store. Click here to check it out; you can buy my prints using your PayPal account. I have a limited number of first-run prints available; details are on each page. Each one will be signed (if you choose) and include a certificate of authenticity and a plastic sleeve for protection. Get yours before they run out!
New Artwork for Sale
I’ve got two brand new designs available for purchase this month. (I’ve been slammed doing client work lately, so I haven’t had a whole lot of free time for the fun stuff. Sorry!) The first is probably a way-too-late mashup of the MTV hit reality show blended with one of Marvel Comics’ most popular Avengers. This was also my Halloween costume two years ago. Ah well, I still think it’s funny. Better late than never. The second is my 4th entry into the horror/comedy series I’ve been working on since the summer. I’ll comment on it a little more in-depth in the popular post section below. Click the images to purchase a tee shirt. Get them on other media here.
Top sellers for September 2014
September 2014 was great. Not quite as strong as August, but I can’t complain. My top sellers were my tropical zombie print (A Cold Welcome) and my Animal mug shot design. The zombie did well on prints, while Animal showed strongly on tee shirts. A lot of shirt sales came after my art show, so I’m grateful for that. Click the images below to purchase. Share, like, and comment, too. I’d love to know what you think!
Top blog post for September 2014
My top blog post for September was my post announcing the second winner of my Horror/Comedy series poll. This time, I wanted to draw something from an 80s movie, so I made the poll a choice between Gremlins, Ghostbusters, and Beetlejuice. Again, the winner took it by a large margin. I thought Ghostbusters would take it, but Beetlejuice took more than 50% of the votes. Click here to check out the poll and the results. Thanks again to everyone who voted! The final piece can be seen and/or purchased here.
New Fiverr Campaign
I’ve got a new Fiverr campaign. Click here to view it. For those of you who don’t know, Fiverr is a website where freelancers can post a gig that they’ll complete for $5. I’ll draw your dog for $5! Click here for more information.
Got a suggestion?
Thanks for reading; this update was a little bit shorter than most, but I’m staying pretty busy. At some point, I really need to finish my children’s book and my objections to anarchy series. I’m also long overdue for my NIN/Soundgarden review. In due time, I guess. As always, I’m accepting comments and questions. Please drop me a line if you’d like to submit either one. Thanks again for making September another great month. Have a great October! Buy something scary from my store. (Please.) -Steve
