July 2013 has been binarygod’s best month yet! You helped me to set a new record for site visits (just shy of 12,000), Amazon clicks, Paypal donations, and (most importantly) artwork sales. I wanted to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who has visited and especially to those of you who have donated and/or made an artwork purchase. I’d also like to give you a few new website updates to let you know what’s in the works.
You may have noticed the new binarygod logo. I decided I needed a logo that didn’t favor one particular artwork, and one that could relate to all of my work, not just the cartoon/comic work. I’ve still kept the “1 and 0” motif. I also updated my branding in my society6 store and on my facebook page. Click the links to check them out. What do you think of the new logo? Love it? Hate it? Please comment below.
I currently have three (3) designs up for scoring on threadless.com. Please give them a “5” if you like them! Be sure to comment as well, and don’t forget to sign up to win a prize if my design(s) are chosen. Click the threadless icon to be taken to my main page, or click the images below to be taken to that specific entry. (*UPDATE: These are now available for purchase, so the images will take you to my store.)
Top blog post and top seller for July 2013
My top seller for July 2013 was our friend, the Plucky Droid. (“Bounty Hunter” coming soon.) He made an appearance as a throw pillow, a tote bag, an iPhone case, and as a framed print. Thanks to everyone who made a purchase. Send me your photos if you want me to put them up on this site! Second place goes to Dark Lord. My patrons enjoy their religious space battles, I guess. My top blog post for July 2013 was my post describing why you shouldn’t be a Republican, especially if you are a limited government conservative. Please click here to view the post, but I’d really prefer that you read the whole series. Republicans are only one wing of the bird of prey set on devouring you and me. Thanks for reading, and I hope my minor contribution to the liberty movement makes you want to read more. Second place goes to Chino Moreno’s hard rock guest spots. Thanks for making Old Music Tuesday worth putting in the effort.
Not-so-top-secret Side Project
I’ve told a few friends and family members about a new side project I’m working on, mainly to get a feel for what kind of business I could bring in with it. I was hoping to have the website live today, but I’ve had to focus on some other client design work first. It will have to wait until next week. I’ll post all the details when the website is live, I’m pretty excited about the opportunity! Look for an update, hopefully next week. (I hope I’ve piqued your interest with this vague description.) Thanks again for your support and patronage, this site doesn’t exist without your clicks, purchases, and donations. Let’s make August even better than July! -Steve
