Summer’s finally here! It’s my favorite season. I love the barbecues, the beach, and the long, warm days. I have lots of updates to share, so I’ll just dive right in. (Follow me on Twitter: @b1naryg0d)
Massive Site Changes, Digital Tyrants, SteveRampton.com
The first announcement is that this will be the last blog post on binarygod.com. I’ve started a new blog at www.digitaltyrants.com and I am currently moving all of my previous blog posts over to that address. I’ve also moved some of my design work over to www.steverampton.com. The reason for doing all of this is to try to free up some memory. My site has been having issues in going over my bandwidth, crashing the site. Frequent visitors may have noticed that I had to take it down temporarily. What I’m envisioning is for binarygod.com to become solely my art gallery and storefront, digitaltyrants.com to become my blog and sketchbook, and steverampton.com to serve as my main portfolio and client site. You can visit any of these sites right now as they are all currently online, although none are finished. Expect some major updates and changes over the next couple weeks/months as I have time.
New Stuff in My Store
My main storefront, Society6, is running another artist promotion. Right now until midnight on June 8, my printer is offering free shipping. Use this link to get the free shipping discount: http://society6.com/binarygod?promo=7f0a96. Please note that you will not automatically get the discount; you must enter my store by using this code. I have two new prints available in my store: The first is a photo taken at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The other is for a poster featuring Pete & Pete‘s Artie, the Strongest Man in the World. Click the images to be taken to the corresponding item in my store, but make sure you use the code to get your free shipping discount.
Top seller for May 2014
May saw another tie for my top seller, and I’ve featured them both below. The first has held the spot before; it’s my Simpsons/Commando parody t-shirt titled McBain. The second is a new one titled Room 237. It is a pattern print based on Stanley Kubrick’s horror masterpiece, The Shining. (If you haven’t seen it, what are you waiting for?) Get yours today by clicking the images below. Please share and comment; I’d love to know what you think!
Top blog post for May 2014
My top blog post for May was another repeat. It was my review of the song Dirty Harry by Gorillaz. Click the image or the link to visit my write-up. (The link will take you to digitaltyrants.com.) Once again, please leave me a comment if you are enjoying my Old Music Tuesdays series. I missed a few weeks due to being generally overworked, but I intend to bring it back. I’m not sure if I’m going to keep doing it weekly.
Got a suggestion?
Please drop me a line if you’d like to make requests on what I should write about, to request a rate quote for a job, or just to say hello. I’ve still got a couple of long, philosophical blog posts in the queue already, but I’m always open to suggestions. Thanks for reading! -Steve
