BinaryGod website May 2016 update

I’m going to keep this brief as I’m knee deep in Mother’s Day projects. Don’t forget Mom on May 8th! This is your BinaryGod update for May 2016.

Now Accepting Custom Orders!

I’m always taking new orders for caricatures and illustrations. Caricatures make great gifts (You’re too late to order for Mother’s Day, but Father’s Day is next month), and they leave a good impression with your clients if you use one in your business advertising. I also do book and music liner illustrations/cartoons. Check out my recent work on ArtStation, I’m no longer updating it here. You can order a custom caricature of a family member, a pet, or a favorite celebrity by clicking the appropriate tab in the main menu. Or you can just click here. I’ll illustrate whatever you’d like, so please contact me if you have a special request.

New Artwork

My client work took almost all of my free time in April. Below are two examples. The first is a caricature for a retirement gift. Bob spent his career at Merrill Lynch and loves golf and wine. My client wanted all three worked into the cartoon. The second is for a retired Air Force mechanic’s 90th birthday. My client wanted me to include the planes he worked on, plus his home on the 14th fairway. I’m pretty happy with how both of them came out, and my clients were as well. (Sorry, these are personal projects and are not for sale. I do have merchandise for sale, though. Click “Shop” in the menu for shirts, stickers, iPhone cases, prints, and much more.)

Top sellers for April 2016

My top sellers for April were exactly the same as my top sellers for March. Boring, but it makes it easy to blog about it. Once again, my caricature of Jerry Garcia took first place in my sales. In second place, I sold a few prints and tee shirts of Val Kilmer (as Doc Holliday) from the excellent movie Tombstone.

Top blog post for April 2016

Star Wars My top post for the fourth month in a row is my review of the new Star Wars movie. It’s here if you’d like to read it: The Force Awakens is overrated. Second place, due to election season, is my essay on why I stopped arguing politics on Facebook. You can read it here. I’ve tweaked it a bit, but the basic thesis is the same. I’ll be glad when it’s over.

Thanks for reading! See you in June. Please use the contact form below if you have any suggestions, comments, or inquiries for a quote on a project.
