Welcome to your November 2014 BinaryGod update. October has been rough, personally. (A small taste for you: I was involved in two car accidents in two weeks. Neither one was my fault, though. That’s the type of month I’ve had.) Artistically and professionally, though, it’s been great! I’m reminded of the saying about the best art is created by exorcising one’s demons. That’s certainly been the case this month. I’m hoping November brings me some better luck.
Wanelo Shop Added
I’ve discovered Wanelo, which is an abbreviation for “Want, Need, Love.” I’ve set up my own store where I can put all my third party work together under one umbrella. Now, you can shop by type of product instead of by vendor. Click here to be taken to my Wanelo shop. It’s constantly being updated, so check back and make sure to put some of my merch in your want list! (Christmas is coming soon!)
New Artwork for Sale
I’ve been trying to keep the movie scene illustrations coming as these have been very popular. I’ve been featured on a couple film blogs, including this one and this one. My new movie illustrations include scenes from The Empire Strikes Back, Jurassic Park, Gremlins, Dead Alive (my contest winner), Batman, and American Psycho. Click the images below to buy them on phone cases, tee shirts, mugs, pillows, and much more!
Top sellers for October 2014
My Doctor Who Don’t Blink illustration blew all the competition out of the water. The Whovians really seem to like my tee shirts, and I’m happy to oblige! I’d like to make some more Doctor Who illustrations, but I’ve got a little bit of artist’s block. I’d like to recreate scenes featuring the Ninth, Eleventh, and Twelfth Doctors. Please contact me if you have a suggestion for a scene or quote. Second place for sales wasn’t even close, but I did sell quite a few Spongebob Saint Patrick phone cases through my Casetify shop. As always, please click the images below to purchase. Share, like, and comment, too. Feedback is always welcome. I’ve got lots of stuff featured in my Wanelo shop, so check it out!
Top blog post for October 2014
For the month of October, my top blog post was for my third and final horror comedy poll. You can view the results here, or purchase the winning design here. My top article was once again Reject Your Political Party. There’s another election on Tuesday, where you decide to make decisions that control other people’s lives. I’m a pretty smart guy, but I’m smart enough to know that I have no idea how you should live your life and I have no right to force you to spend your money in a certain way. Please extend to me the same courtesy, and reject the process. I can only justify (political) voting in one instance; you can read about it here.
Fiverr Campaign in Full Swing
My Fiverr campaign is going pretty well, I’ve been drawing a couple of dogs every week. Click here to view it if you haven’t already. Fiverr is a website where freelancers can post a gig that they’ll complete for $5. I’ll draw your dog for $5! Click here for more information. I recently became a Level One seller, which means I can add additional services to my gig, including a color version! It also means I have great feedback. My customers love me! I’ve got a couple new dog illustrations displayed on my Fiverr site, so make sure you pay it a visit. Maybe you don’t have a dog, or don’t like my style, but perhaps you know someone who might!
Got a suggestion?
Thanks, as always, for reading this post to see what I’ve been up to! I’m always accepting comments, suggestions, requests, and questions. Please drop me a line if you’d like to get in touch with me. Keep in mind that Christmas is less than two months away, and it’s not too late to start shopping. Why not add some BinaryGod merch to your stocking? Have a great November, and a wonderful Thanksgiving. -Steve [politics] [doodle_my_dog]
