Patreon Daily Caricatures

Do you love celebrity caricatures? I do. So much so that I’m starting an ambitious project for 2017: I’m going to attempt to post one celebrity caricature a day on his/her birthday. Sound like a big project? It is. I need your help.

I’m partnering with Patreon to try to fund it. Patreon is a crowdfunding site, like Indiegogo or Kickstarter, but instead of funding a specific project, like a book or a CD, you’re funding an artist, filmmaker, or writer. I have no idea if this is going to work, but as Wayne Gretzky (birthday Jan 26th) famously stated, and Michael Scott hilariously co-opted, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”

So where do you come in? Do you have one dollar? For as little as a dollar a month, you can help fund this project. Everyone who makes a pledge will receive exclusive goodies, and the more you pledge, the more you get. Goodies include, but are not limited to: color versions of the caricatures, custom artwork for you or a loved one, a slot to vote for whom I draw, and ad space on my blog (which gets 10K to 40K hits per month… and this project will definitely increase the traffic).

The Master

Posted here is an example of what the line art (free) caricatures will look like. (The image is a series of caricatures of the actors who have played The Master on BBC’s Doctor Who.) I’m going to be drawing actors, filmmakers, writers, athletes, musicians, and more!

Please consider helping fund this project. Every dollar is a big help, and there’s no obligation to continue after your first month. You’re also helping to promote something creative and positive in the world. The details are at my Patreon page, which you can visit by clicking here. The campaign starts on New Year’s Day (tomorrow), so make sure you don’t miss any caricatures!

Thanks in advance for your generosity, and here’s to a healthy and successful 2017!
